Minister Chernor Bah Visits Foster + Partners with Sherbro Alliance Partners to Advance Sherbro Island City Project

 Sierra Leone’s Minister of Information and Civic Education, Chernor Bah, paid an official visit to Foster + Partners in London, alongside Sherbro Alliance Partners (SAP) co-founder, Siaka Stevens. The visit aimed to discuss the ambitious Sherbro Island City Project, which seeks to transform Sherbro Island into a sustainable, world-class urban hub.


Hosted at the offices of Foster + Partners, one of the world’s leading architectural and design firms, the meeting provided an opportunity to present the early stages of planning and visioning for this transformative initiative. During the session, Minister Bah and Mr. Stevens engaged in strategic discussions on the project’s potential to revitalize Bonthe Town, positioning it as the gateway to the larger development of Sherbro Island.

The architectural team at Foster + Partners showcased their innovative and environmentally conscious design philosophy, which is integral to the Sherbro Island City Project. The presentation emphasized a phased approach to developing Sherbro Island’s infrastructure, which will drive economic growth while preserving the island’s natural and historical significance.


Siaka Stevens, co-founder of SAP, expressed his optimism for the project, stating, “Bonthe Town’s revitalization is just the beginning.
